Use this section to talk about your Commodore computer Message Lifetime: 120 days Each Forum consists of a message database with attached files. There are eight basic levels of user access: Zero, Read, Download, Write, Upload, Co-Op, Forum-Op, and Sysop. "Read" access means that you can read messages only; "Download" access means you can also download files; "Write" access allows you to write (or post) messages; "Upload" access means that you can also upload attachments, but that the Forum-Op must approve them for download; "Co-Op" uploads are "pre-approved". You have "Sysop" access to this Forum. Your Forum-Op is "Sysop". Please note: your account is charged 60 credits for each minute you spend in this Forum. In addition, you are given 300 credits each time you write a message, given 300 credits for each file uploaded, and not charged for each file downloaded. If a file you upload is approved for download, the Forum-Op might arrange for you to receive a bonus. All messages posted to this Forum are preserved indefinitely, until erased by the Forum-Op. I think you'll be successful if you download the four files on one disk and proceed to load and run them (one at a time) with another disk (blank and formatted) in the drive before you run each one (as they are actually being decompresed then). Just saw this second message. The Commie drives have their own cpu which the system uses for dearcing the files. Too bad all the programmers ran out on the 8 bit systems! It is a pain to do it all yourself! Let me know how you do with the script....in fact, here , I'm going to leave you a copy of mine for entering into e-mail after you have signed on with your own password and handle. You can name this file anything you want but you must also have that name in the phonebook section under "script". Also, you must have put in your logonname and password in the same section....desterm script will do the rest! (I'll be sending desterm in four parts, the ascii installation documentation, and the four self extracting files. Just self-extract them onto a disk formated in 128 mode (with the header"x",Ixx command to make it double sided) and run"desb*" in 128 mode. I don't use a commodore anymore, but I have mine stuffed up n my closet. A lot of good memories of my old 64, with two 1541 drives, a printer and monitor and all the stuff you could do with commies that IBMs only bothered getting around to about 5 years ago :) Date: Friday, January 23, 1998 1:35am Forum: Comm From: Conundrum Msg#: 744069 To: Drpax Re: Death (Reply to #738268, Reply to #736033, Reply to #475636) I sorta knew about this; my commie's in my closet for the forseeable future as well, alas.
