___________________ ! THE ! ! AFTER HOURS ! ! ! NEWSLETTER ! ! ___________________! The board is now over 3 years old. We have watched it grow from a tiny system with only a few users, to a wild, crazy, unstoppable phenomenon. The system was created because a neighborhood atari sysop scoffed when I told him that this was a TI-99/4A computer. "A mere toy", he assured me, "atari makes a far superior computer, the TI could NEVER support a full time bulletin board". When he threw down the gauntlet so brazenly, I had to respond. I began to spend 8-10 hours programming every day. Within a month, the central routines were written, and I started online testing. A few weeks later, the new phone line was installed, and After Hours was born. For months, users suffered through system bugs, lack of features, and related problems. But the board has evolved (mostly by user suggestions), and will continue to grow and change with time. I hope that everyone will continue their suggestions about what features should be added to the bbs.
